Default SES EGR flow

my SES light came on today and i found a EGR flow code present. anyone know the normal failure with this code? the EGR itself or a cracked hose?

If you're getting a code, I'd think the EGR valve is shot, or it can't close completely so it's leaking more exhaust into the motor than is needed. If it were just a hose it probably wouldn't throw a code.

What code # did it set? There are sevaral EGR related codes to help pin down the trouble. However, as 95slvrZ28 advised, most likely the EGR is bad, also clean out the axaust gas passages connected to the EGR.

after looking at the how the egr system works i found it had no feedback hoses (use to working on other products all day). i think the egr has taken a dive (which i kind of doubt because that car only has 35k miles) or there is a piece of carbon stuck in the prindle not allowing it to work properly. the code was a po400 egr flow. i am going to take it off and inspect Monday during lunch and see what the problem is
