sealing up t-tops
Any tips on how to seal up the t-top on my 97 RS the thing leaks real bad. and i didnt really realize why the headliner was falling apart until today when i took the car cover off for the first time in 3 months and saw the dash was covered with ice.

My t-tops leaked horribly, meaning it rained more inside than it was outside...my seats were always soaked. I was pretty concerned about the seats and carpeting getting ruined, since I'm in the process of redoing all of it. I siliconed the crap out of them all around the seams. Haven't had any leaks (yet). It's cheaper than replacing all the weather stripping. But obviously doesn't look as nice close up.

Do you know if it's because your seals are shot or if it's a loose fitment issue. If the tops aren't pinching tight to the seals, you can lower the pin receivers on the body to tighten them down more.

Mine were leaking so bad that i have a lake on the floor. but thats because the rubber was getting old and pitted on the T-top so we use the Right Stuff Instant Gasket to fill it and now i have no lake
