Default Head Studs, sealing issues?

Anyone have any sealing problems when using ARP head studs vs bolts? I have seen this before and looking for a definite answer

I believe he's talking about the GM (#3634621) cooling system sealing "pellets" that the service manual recommends you put in because of the porosity of the aluminum engine parts, heads, etc.
