Default Roach's Header Install Thread.

Well Ladies and Gents the time is here, I have enough cash money to order my headers and y-pipe. Here is what I am getting so if I miss anything lemmmme know.

Pacesetter Longtube headers with AIR hookup and Catted Y pipe (from texas speed)
NGK 55 sparkplugs and MSD wires.
percy seal-4-good gaskets.
o2 sims for the rear and 2 new front o2s for when they go out.

im ordering this stuff on Saturday so hit me back up with suggestions please
I really dont want to do the AIR hook ups but there is a good chance of me moving out of Michigan which in that case I may move somewhere where they check that sort of thing.

They do make bigger sizes and napa has their own brand of them if you just need one. They are large but should fit 5.0 heads fine, but yes they do work. Best $20 i spent.

In your LS1 I would only use GM MLS (Multi-Layer Steel) gaskets, either reuse stock if in good shape or get new ones...

Also, if you're going to do a tune, which you should for headers, forget the sims, and have them delete the rear O2 sensors from the computer when you do the tune. Off-road use only, of course.

Personally, I'm likely going with Denso plugs and Denso O2s...

Motor mounts too if you're up near 80k mi.+ or so...
