Most GM dealers will be happy to reflash you computer back to stock, for a price.

If the car has been modified extensevely, and you don't know what the actual mods were, then the PCM will need to be tuned with the help of a dyno. If you know exactly what mods were done, then you may be able to get a mail order tune.
It would be a great help in answering your question if you divulged what engine and mods you are hinting to.

THe computer for the 98 has alot of tuning options and a Dyno shop can hook you up there. THe 92 is a totally different story and a totally different method for programing. Usually with the 92 you need to send the main PROM chip in to be "flashed" using special equipment that is becomming hard to find.

Which car is in need of the tune and what have you done to it. Oh and the 3800 does not like to run with out a thermostat, it will keep throwing you a coolant too log code and put the engine in reduced power mode or limp home mode if it does not get to 210 like it likes. The 92 prolly does not care but will run better if it can get hot faster.

theres no mods to it just parts from every other camaro like, the engine is from a 96, and all of the parts i needed for the 96 engine were from the 95 engine that was in it when i got it (by the way why are we talking about thermostats and my 92????)

I believe you should just get the computer flashed as if it was in a 96 and you will be fine
