What could be a reason that my remote no longer unlocks or locks the car? I ve replaced the batteries in both remotes but still no response?

 

Could have lost the programming. Is it the factory keyless or aftermarket? If factory, you could try to reprogram them yourself.

is that link for the factory keyless? And if it is, can i screw anything up if i mess up the process?

 

yes that sfor the factory keyfob's
no you cant possibly mess anything up the remotes will either program or not, if they dont you need to find you some new remotes.

does pressing the lock/unlock button on the doors still work?

 

the driver door makes no effort at all and the passenger door makes a noise when i try to push lock but not a noise when i hit unlock

 

Stupid idea, but have you checked fuses?

i just took about both of the remotes and put them back together and now they are working perfectly fine...
