Default Keyless entry remote

I wanted to know if anyone has bought a keyless entry remote (that worked) off of ebay or amazon. I looked at the codes or whatever on the car and it looks like it once had a keyless remote, just not when I bought it. Thanks.

If you don't want to take the chance on ebay, I'd be happy to sell you a new transmitter for FAR below regular dealer price.
Thanks

If the glove box sticker shows AU0 your car had the RKE system.

Parts taxi, how much is a new remote fob for a 94? I have only one and would like a second. Is your offering a GM part?

I bought both of mine from ebay for around $10 each, and they work fine. And the programming is simple and quick. Just don't pay extra for the seller to program it, there are free instructions all over the internet.

Thanks all for the help I ordered it off of amazon.com and programmed it, works great. Now all I need is a new shock sensor. Does anyone know how much those run for, and where to get one?

I too have bought them from E-bay in the past and they have been just fine. You CANNOT have some one program the fobs for you... simple as that you need to have your car presant to do the programing. Best part about it the owner's manual even tells you how to program your fobs and you can have up to 4 programed to one car. 98-02 cars have the ability to determine which fob was last used and what it's command was and if the car preformed the command. It will only tell this to a scanner capable of reading that info, but I thought that was pretty cool.

Oh and you have to program ALL fobs at the same time. If you just program your new fob your old one will not work after. ALL fobs MUST be programed at the same time.

Thanks for chiming in on a 3 year old dead thread! I believe i mentioned that the owners manual gives instructions on how to program the 98+ fobs.
