My air conditioner has not worked since I bought my car, and the compressor clutch does not engage. I tested the low side with my gauge and it was at 10PSI, so I topped it back up to 40PSI with a half can of redtek's 12a refrigerant. The compressor still has not engaged and it's not blowing cold air.

Fuses and relays OK, I have yet to do any other tests.

Do I need to reset the cpu or do I have a problem?? lol

 

your ac system holds just over 2 cans, that 40psi will drop to 15 when the compressor kicks on. it sound like you may have a bad pressure sensor. im sure cam69 (aka linkman ) will be able to hook you up with a testing procedure.
