Recently aquired 2 camaro SS's. Advice needed.
Hey everyone I am new to the forum. I have just recently fell into the ownership of 2 camaro super sports. I inherited a mint condition black on black 96 SS 6 speed from my mother who never drove the car just let it sit in her garage with a cover on it. Has 50k miles on it. Also an 02 35 th anniversary SS red with black stripes 6 speed from a friend who moved over seas. Clean and clear titles with clean carfax reports on both cars. I dont have a garage and do not have any use for these cars. Can someone please tell me the best and most efficient way to sell these vehicles without selling them to a dealer and getting nothing for them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks
First of all.... Welcome to the Forums. Wish you were plannin on keeping one of them at least and stickin around here with us. But, if you must sell them and arent interested in using Ebay or Craigslist.... you should list them in your local classifieds. there are alot of people out there lookin for nice used Camaros.
Sorry for being car selling illiterate but when you say local classifieds what exactly do you mean. And yes i agree i wish it was in my interest to keep the 96. For a 16 year old car it looks like it just came out of the showroom.

You should research using Ebay. With low miles these cars are getting harder to find. Craigs list is only going to hit the local market where Ebay will hit a much larger crowd but it can be a headache with tire kickers. You can also search Ebay for Completed auctions that SOLD to get an idea where the selling prices are. Ignore the auctions that did not sell because those guys are asking too much, which is why it did not sell. Also make sure you state the car is for sale locally and you can end the auction at anytime.
Time is not your friend, spring is the time to sell. The price will fall off in the summer and be at its lowest in the fall. The price is dropping on the 96 very fast. Over 50K SS is worth ½ what it was this time last year. The 02 would be down from last year but nowhere near as much. IMO as the higher end Camaro lovers move to the 5th gen the 4th gens are getting nail through the trickledown effect. All the LT1’s are taking a beating value wise.

Based on your admitted inexperience in car selling, I might recommend you hire a sales consultant. Usually you can find them for a fee or a percentage of sale. They will know the best way to market your car and will be able to help you with how to transfer the title. A good ad with less words and more pictures really helps your car sell faster. What state/City do you live in?
Thank you all. I posted it on craigslist. I am located in ashburn va which is northern va. I know that if i can advertise to the right crowd this car will sell in a second due to the condition. I do understand the title transfer as well. Its a clean and clear maryland title I had my mother print and sign her name on it with leaving the sale price mileage and date blank as was suggested to me by a friend. Ebay might be a good idea to target a large crowd. Also does not seem there are many of these 96 LT1 SS's out there. especially black on black 6 speeds. The 2002 i know will bring less money and its not mint. so parking it outside does not bother me as much. Once again thank you for all your help.
