Rear brake pad hardware

Default Rear brake pad hardware

Replacing the rear pads on my 94 z28. This hardware came with the new pads but can't figure out where they go. I looked online and several diagrams show it but not in specific placement. My old pads didn't have it. Help?

This illustration is from the 1994 Service Manual. I've also attached the pages from the manual that go through the process of replacing the brake pads that may be a help.

Thanks, good info. Now I see the indentation on the inside of the caliper for the clips.
