Thumbs up Hawk HPS pads MUCH better than stockers

So I just replaced my rear brake pads with Hawk HPS pads in my RS -- wow what a difference -- in just the hard stopping burnishing process from 45 mph hard braking they really bite hard! Can't wait till my fronts need replacing! Whatever was on there was OEM probably originals, I bought the car used.

Note that this is without flushing the brake fluid, which I plan to do, but along with adding some stainless steel brake lines...

Anyone still on OEM pads, I highly recommend giving these a try, rpmspeed.com has a good price, btw.

^ Same rotors -- still within spec -- vernier caliper measured.

Took sandpaper to them at least to remove the glazing, so the new pads will "break in"?

Wire brushed them, and followed Hawk's burnishing instructions:
Bed-In Instructions

So swap upgrade them -- the process is not terrible -- I did it on my old '95 3.4L...

A wire brush won't take the glazing off. When reusing rotors, you want to sand the surface to remove all the glaze (shine). Without deglazing, your brakes aren't going to work to their fullest potential. Think of it being similar to installing new piston rings on glazed cylinder walls. You wouldn't do that either.
