Ram + cold air intake-- is it possible?
Ram air takes air from outside the engine, which makes it a cold air intake system. Just using a ram air hood won't do the trick as the air needs to be properly plumbed to the intake manifold. A better power producing set up would be a cowl induction system as it picks up air at the bottom of the widshield where air pressure is greatest.
Too much for me. I'll stick with my ram air and a drop in filter.
If I want more power, I'll get n20 or a rear mount turbo.
This ram/CAI and cow CIS is too much for me. I can't decide what to do, and I don't wanna waste my money.
The factory "Ram Air" system in these cars does not do much until the car is traveling over 100 MPH. The intake scoop location is more for looks than for power. As Devices said, a plain SLP lid will get you cold air from in front of the radiator, and is located in a better spot than the hood scoop.

^ Pete, I think you mean the SLP CAI (maybe plus the lid), as just a lid is not adding much more air input. The SLP CAI has a much wider opening for air, and it's high pressure because of the design to push air up in the radiator area...
Also, this design ram air should be more effective:

Yea, the SLP CAI would be better, and the hood you showed has a better placement for the scoop than the stock scoop, but not that much better. The high pressure point still remains at the bottom of the windshield. Personally, I really don't like the looks of hood scoops, but that is just my opinion.
So the bottom of the windshield is a high pressure point because of the big transition from hood to glass angle?
Interesting that I have not even seen a 5th Gen Camaro package variety with the cowl hood, not GM, SLP, Hennessy, etc... I'm sure an aftermarket hood exists, though. I goes looks rule. LOL
Here's a few Camaro cowl hood options:
