I am currently looking for a cold air intake,ram air intake, etc. For my 97 3.8 Camaro what are you opinions the more performance the better thanks links would be appreciated

I just did the Free Ram Air mod this past weekend. Added a K&N airfilter when I was finished. I estimate I added about 10 or 12 hp to the car. It was fairly easy to do I am quite proud of the way it turned out.

 

By the way, I recommend if you do this mod, you use a scroll saw with a fine blade for the plastic air box; and a dremel with a cutting wheel for the metal under the hood.

p.s. make sure you have spare bits and blades before you start.

 

He has a 97, which is a completely different setup than yours... Stryker, please do a search before asking such a basic question. There are tons of threads just like this one.

 

Thanks, I didn't realize there were different setups between a 97 Camaro with the 3.8 and the 99 Camaro with the 3.8.

k&n or moroso, dont use the cheap stuff.

 

There is a new one out, S E A R C H. It supposed to have awesome results.
