not anything that you'll notice which is the true test.

You might get better mileage

Used to get me about .1 seconds on the 1/4" in my grand prix GTP. It had the S/C 3.8L. I had a thrasher CAI which turned into ram air when you took out a headlight at the track.

You might notice a little bit of throttle response, some more intake noise, and an MPG or two.

I had a k&n on my Dakota, sounded really, really good...kinda like the secondaries of a 4bbl opening up...but, that filter was inside the engine compartment and not a true "CAI". I have the FIPK k&n on my Z and the filter is mounted outside the engine bay (in front of the wheel inside the turn signal housing area) and I can't hear it at all, but it is a true CAI as it is drawing air from outside the engine compartment. I have nmot noticed any MPG gains, nor any really significant performance gains, but I got it cheap, so I'm not complaining. It's just a real PIA to get to the filter for service because I have to jack the car up and remove the air dam and other plastic pieces that protect that area from water.
