So anyway.......not trying to tell you what to do, as I know how sensitive you are to that type of thing (lmao). But, have you given the pipe diameter any more (re)consideration?

You're still having a hard time giving up that "bigger is better" way of thinking, ain't ya?
Earlier you said: "When it's done, I should have factory LT1 power out of a 3.4/3400 hybrid". OK, so you're looking at somehow, someday getting close to 300 h.p. out of it? What's the master plan to get there?
For fun, use that figure then, as a cya factor. That would mean you want your pipes to flow 660 cfm, plus adding some for your "further down the pipe" restrictions.
Two 2" unrestricted straight pipes will flow approximately 722 cfm. So 2" pipes should more than cover you with a 300 h.p. engine, but it's still a little overkill for your engine how it is now.
