Question about engine replacement
I know that Firebirds and Camaros are close to being almost the same car, but I was wondering if a 4th gen 3.8l V6 from a Firebird would swap into a 4th gen V6 Camaro? I figured I'd ask here first and get a definite answer.
The Firebird is a 2002 while my Camaro is a 1999.

Yes it will work fine. You will need to remove the drive by wire system and use the your throttle body parts. You should replace the intake gasket while you have it out.

Is all good. I am going by this book:

I own a 99 3.8 and I have the throttle by wire. The book says 98.
do any of you reading this know if the TBW system has a torque limiter programed into it or is it a 1:1 ratio with no override? My 04 Avalanche had torque limiting in its TBW and I hated it, I cant tell if this car does or not.
