Poor car...
So I am not sure how many of you read my introduction post, but those of you who did know a long story about me and my Z. I ran out of space at the house to keep the car so I had been storing at my Dads house since December. Well, my buddy who owns a local shop and I decided that we were going to do the IRS swap on my car. I called my Dad up and asked him to drive the car over to the shopand I would take him home. Well in the process he was driving down 90 out of the Richmond/Rosenberg area of Houston and a kid ran a stop sign and plowed the drivers side of the car...

SOOOO, besides what can be seen in the pic:
the core support is trashed
the driver side inner fend well of the car is bent up
the K-member is torn up
the shocks are toast
and the headlight buckets/support are broke up.
Plan to do a full tubular k-member and upper/lower A-arm upgrade and get away from my QA-A1 shocks as I can not honestly stand them, and go with some simple yet tried-and-true Bilstein setup. My big question is what do with the exterior.
And by this I mean:
should I keep the stripes or go back to solid (will post better/more pics later)
and should I keep the same year look (96) or update to the current look
Any and all suggestions are appreciated

Hey sorry to hear about you z man if you ask me i like the stripes maybe different colors and i like the newer look but i like the 93-97 look better But that maybe jus me Well Hope you get that thing back on the road soon Peace
The stripes are nice on that car. I would keep the same front end. The 98-02 looks ok but the 93-97 looks better. It has a sportier look to it. Also, in my opinion, the 98-02 Camaros kinda look like a Sebring front end. Your better off keeping the early 4th gen front end.
Thanks for the opinions guys. The kid had insurance but they called it a total loss. I have a good deal of money tied up in the motor in parts and labor and did not to lose the car so I bought it back. I am going to have to find parts and begin a long process of repairing her back to good again. I guess my biggest thing on the update was to be able to have better headlights. The 93-97 headlights are horrible. I know there used to be a company that made non-sealed housings for the early 4th gen cars but I cannot find them anymore.
Again, thanks for all of your replies and for the opinions.
