Default please help out!! shifting problems!

ok, i have a 95 v6 3.8l camaro and everything has been good and has treated me good. today as i was leaving work i found out my car is not shifting like it usually does(its automatic)... so as im driving, usually between 2-3k rpms it usually shifts and so on and so on... now as i push the pedal it will not shift to the next gear... as in pushing the gas, it is going into higher rpms and it is not shifting...its just like if you were reving the car...and then when i let go of the pedal it will shift...but its not shifting till it gets to the higher rpms or until i let the pedal go...if you could help me out with what it could be i would really appreciate it. im not to car savvy so please take it easy on me. lol. and im trying to avoid getting over charged at the mechanic over something i dont know about. thanks in advance for helping.

the ses is not on. and i actually called my local autozone and they notified me that autozone(im guessing in california) are not allowed to run anyones car for trouble codes. the guy said that they(autozone) stopped running cars for codes about a year ago. so he said that all they can do is for me to run the car for codes elsewhere and bring it to autozone and they can tell me what the code is for.

clean the plugin connection at the trany and see if that helps. the 95 has the electric trans so u dont have a tv cable or u could adjust it. the 4l60e has a soloniod that does it so either the solonoid is not working right or the computer is getting or giving false info or a bad connection. not sure if u have a relay for the trans maybe check under the hood in the fuse box on the driver side see if theres a relay for it. should say on the backside of the cover.

It sounds like the trans has gone into its "safe mode." Check the things Craby suggested, you may have to take it into a dealer to have them check the PCM and trans controller.

By the way, your name is going to confuse the crap out of me!
