My 4spd transmission is having a real hard time downshifting from 3rd to 2nd. I have to force it into 2nd gear sometimes. What could be causing this? What could I do to fix it? Any pictures or details could really help.

 

Your second gear synchronizer is going out. They tend to keep getting worse with miles.

Call around to tranny shops and find one that will work on Manuals. Then get out your check book. Manual trany work if not hard but ifyou do know know how to tell a sync is out chances are you will not have the tools required to do the work. You could save yourself a few buck by pulling the trans out yourself. Make sure the tech drives the car before you pull it.
