Default pacesetter full length headers ?'s...

if i get these headers, do i have to also get the pacesetter Y pipes? the Y pipes are designed for slip-on fit to Pace Setter headers, buthas no A.I.R. or EGR provision. I want the best performance, but inspection is a ***** where i live. so can i keep my stock Y pipe on.......if not will the ORY cause me to fail inspection? items are already in my summit.com cart just waitin for some veteran input....thanks guys

You can have a Y pipe customfabbed, thats what im going to do. That way it can be manipulated to fit perfectly and cost the same if not less.

I agree with Spartan just go to a muffler shop and have them fabricate a y pipe for you. If you have emissions tests you will have to keep your cats or get 02 simulators, but if you have the "sniffer" test the 02 sims won't help. If you must keep the cats a good muffler shop will be able to hook you up and cost alot less than buying a name brand y pipe.

if inspection is a ***** at your place then you cannot get the race style headers. you need to get the headers for your specific year model and make sure you have EGR if u originally had it (98-00). They check these things too. Otherwise any full length flangless header Ypipe should work. I used the texas speed ypipe, and had the driver side of it all welded together (it was a 4 piece Y) to help with some clearance issues.
