You are indeed correct on using the cartridges. So your observation might be correct. I do not have access to a tech II. But will keep ******* this issue. May stick a bud in the passenger seat with his head up under the glove box. That might work eh? Even if it didn't it would be worth a giggle and a few photos.

 

If I can get some time this weekend, I'll have to get my 2000 SS out and hook the Tech 2 up and look to see what information I can find on this.
