i have an 02 z28, and i got rear ended at about 5 mph. structually everything is fine, and the guy agreed to pay for the repair (his fault, and hisjeep was unscathed). however, i will definetly need a new piece for above the rear bumper(the one that says CAMARO) and possibly a new rearbumper, because it was pushed in a bit, and it bent (butdidnt crease)a bit on the side by one of the mounting points (just under the mid point of the tail light). other than that, the bumper looks fine, does anyone have some suggestions as to which route i shoud take in replacing these parts? buy brand new or OEM, or junkyard? i estimate, from what i see for new bumpers on eBay, taht it will cost about $500 just for the parts, let alone the labor and paint. Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks for reading.

It's a good online site for used parts. Call a few of them, good chance you might even find the same color. Car refinish is expensive, other options are to paint it yourself or go to like a Maaco or something cheaper. If the guy hit you...make sure he pays full price up front. Go get 2 or 3 estimate from a Service King and 2 dealerships so he can pick a price.

Make sure he pays up front total cost. You'd be surprised at how much extra damage can be underneath.

thanks, but im kinda confused as to some of the terms on ebay (i know this must sound stupid to even ask), there are listings for "bumper covers" on ebay, ranging from under $50 to over $200. is this what i need? are these the parts that will replace the piece that is damaged on my car?
