have an 86 5 speed out of a z-28 and a 85 350 problem tranny was hooked to an 89 305 flywheel wont fit crank will any early flywheel work.

youre saying the engine in your car is an 85? then no, it wont work. you will need a flywheel for an 85 and older 2 peice rms. sounds like a good time for an upgrade

 

yeah i bought 350 rebuilt with some mods,casting number says 4 bolt truck up to 85.car is 86 305 i thought 1 piece rear main came out in 87-89 but my 305 has 1 piece rear seal so my flfwheel wont fit,i had been thinking any 2 piece flywheel would fit.until i read someone saying it had to be t-5 specific.iam guessing il need clutch from my original setup to match splines on t-5 thanks
