Oil Pressure Low?
Whats up everyone i just bought my first camaro last thursday. I was previously a mustang owner. But anyway since i have got my car 97 Z-28 i have noticed the oil pressure is at the first line on the gauge. I believe 20 psi and its also hard to start if it sits for a little while. Any ideas as to what maybe causing this? I have a 1,000 mile warranty but I was trying to get some kind of idea as to what to make sure they check whenI take it to them this afternoon. Thanks John

RE: Oil Pressure Low?
Oil Pressure - 20 PSI at idle is good, 20 PSI at high RPM is bad.
Hard starting after the car sits a while is usually an indication that the FI system is loosng pressure when the engine is off. Try turning the key on & off several times before attempting to start, this will prime the system and get the pressure up. Loss of pressure is usually due to a bad fuel pump check valve, bad regulator, leaky injector, or actual fuel leak.
