Oil leak on a 4th Gen should be no more than $260 at a place u have spent $950 in wk?
yes cal is a hard place to own a car the worst good stuff torque is good ,some food for though ,best way to find if broken motor mount take a long craw bar if you can see them from the bottom it may be rocking mabey not ,I am suprized as those times you had this car in,like mine he would have known every thing wrong with the car bye doing a 48 point check around the car something like that
too low of an idle will cause engine vibration
vacuum leak will cause vibration
misfires will cause vibration
dead cylinder will cause vibration
too rich an idle mixture will cause vibration
aftermarket cam will cause vibration
I can keep going
it's time to start diagnosing and not continue tossing parts at it

thanks that is very good advice. going to a better shop than the one I went to after the holidays. A general mechanic to actually pull up and look under the chassis. I went yesterday and the general mechanic who sealed my oil leak for about $425, added some type of spray under the hood and lowered the idle. It doesn't happen all the time at a stoplight or traffic light. and not a thunderous vibration. I was told yesterday that all motor mounts are there and are just old. I might have to replace them. Anyway, was not impressed that they didn't prop my car up and look under it. I know they're probably busy like everyone else is this time of year, and they didn't charge me for all their "diagnosis" yesterday, but I want a permanent fix. I will take it to either of 2 of the best mechanics here to make it smooth at idle All of the time after they diagnosis it. Thanks, again. Have a happy New Year
in other words, the problem is still there after the general mechanic added spray under the hood to the engine and lowered the Idle; per the mechanic doing the diagnosis: all motor mounts are there, but just old. a new transmission mount adds more power to the engine so I would expect there's a need to replace the old motor mounts to handle the added power. After I left the general-mechanic shop, it still had the problem but not all the time. These guys are a bit younger working on my car, I'm taking it to some less lax mechanics who are older and wiser, like there was his neighbor next door who was working on a '65 Mustang. I called him up and he said he has no qualms dealing with his business neighbor (me) and that it's not unethical.

they may need to keep up by being replaced with newer motor mounts?
in answer to your question, it is vibrating like darth vader at the traffic light, noticeably, but not too loud or scary, but just an uncomfortable feeling motion-less at idle, with the front hood closed in 65 degree warm- during the day san diego california weather right now in december 2015; when i hit the gas and go over 3 mph it's smooth. Only at idle with the hood closed. thanks for your input.
