Default o2 Simulator Install

Okay I am trying to install a simulator on my car to eliminate my engine light codes. (2002 camaro SS). First off my exhaust is as follows, long tube hooker headers, no cats, goes into the y-pipe and then into the stock muffler. Now I am not exactly sure where to install the simulator. I can see 2 oxygen sensors under there, both are just behind where the headers end on both sides of the car(Where the cats used to be). Now do I have to cut into the harnesses under the car near the sensor or can I install it under the hood somewhere? That would be the ideal way but I am not sure which wires to go off of. Any help would be appreciated.

First of all, you need simulators (2). The two oxy sensors that are already on the system, monitor and adjust your fuel mix. The other two that your car used to have, were behind each cat, to monitor their function and nothing more. There still should be the two wire harnesses that went to each oxy sensor, either still under the car, or they were brought forward and stuck somewhere under the hood. Hopefully they weren't cut out, those are the wires you need to tie back into. Here's a good article on exhaust, for your year even. You can see all 4 oxy sensors, pre and post cat. 02 Camaro SLP exhaust install

Okay so you are saying that I should be tieing into the o2 sensors that were originally behind the cats? And when I bought my simulator he told me that one would do the job for me, I just had to tie both of them into the one simulator, is this possible? But I think my biggest issue is finding which ones to wire into. Now if you look from the top of my engine and on the top of my headers there is some kind of sensor drilled into the top of them on both sides. So are these sensors as well or are they something totally different? I am not sure what else they would be. Thanks for the help.

I can't tell you with certainty that two into one will work without still throwing a code, but it's worth a shot, you need at least one simulator anyway. But you do need to find the original harnesses.
And yes, those would be the upstream oxygen sensors you're seeing attached to the headers.

Ya I just looked it up and the hooker headers come with extenders for the front o2 sensors. So my back sensors are still plugged in and I have access to them. So do I want to unhook these harnesses and cut them off or how should I tie into them. I dont want to mess anything up. My simulator has the red 12volt wire, black ground, and then two yellow ones which are signal and heater signal. I am looking at the directions but they are rather confusing.

No I am not spending that much money on those. I am just going to tap into the wires once I figure out exactly how to do it.
