Default EGR simulator?

i found a write up to make an egr simulator, its for a 98 gm 4 cylinder, and im wondering if it will work for the 3.8 v6 and other models with the same egr valve. also, does anyone else have any sort of info on a simulator? the egr needs to stay in the vehicle for emissions, and cant just be left unplugged. here is the write up http://www.verboom.net/projects/spee...729/index.html

If working properly, the EGR has no effect on power and may actually improve fuel economy slightly by allowing more spark advance. So, why bother with putting in a simulator??

i know the egr has no effect on WOT power, but it really dampens mid range power and response in situations using 1/4-3/4 throttle, and also really dirties up the intake tract. i know this for a fact that it frees up power. i repaired the clogged egr valve on my blazer and once it was working correctly, i lost almost all my climbing power and required me to downshift into third just to climb an 8% grade. once i unplugged it, it went back to the normal 4th gear tcc locked climb. and no one likes a carbon filled intake

it will still throw a code if its blocked off and removed. my egr on my blazer was plugged with carbon, and even being obdI it had a code for egr low flow. now its just unplugged and has a code for circuit out of range/short to ground.
