No luck!
nothing wrong with a 93-97 and the hp isnt that much less than a ls. not hard at all to pick up the hp needed to get a lt1 even with a stock ls1. plus you get a better looking car. lol
I'm sure the 98 that was near me got snapped up real quick. It was a hell of a deal, unless it had something seriously wrong with it.
Hmmmm, maybe I should grab any smokin' deals I see and sell it here to Y2K for a tidy profit!

Sebi, can you stretch your $5k budget just a little further? Here's a 2000 Z28, 95k miles, asking price $5,900:

I think you could make some money if you brought a truck load of LS1 Z28's out here.

Are the high asking prices in your area also meaning they're selling high though? Askin' ain't gettin', ya know!!
Hi guys time to chime in, I would hold out for the 98. The LT1 isnt a bad engine, but the LS1 in ten fold. More power, less weight, responds better for budget mods. Like cold air intake, chip, and a decent exhaust and your already fields ahead of the LT1 with the same mods.
The LS1 is a great piece of gear. my two cents worth.

I was gonna suggest that till I got to the bottom and saw you said the same thing. Bringing a car from the south to the north is one thing, but I'm not that far south of you to be considered "southern". Man, what a price difference. Looking around here too, there are a few idiots who think they're sitting on a friggin gold mine or something. Their heads are really up in the clouds...or up something else!

As for selling VS asking, dunno,it's a tough market out there but the dealers are usually pretty savy as to what they can get and they're all pretty high on these cars.
I think it's somewhat of a supply and demand thing, there are probably a lot more of them back there.
People out here on the left coast have been into imports a lot more than domestics for 30 years now, used Hondas and Toyotas are a dime a dozen because there's zillions of them for sale.
Good gawd gen 1 Camaros cost more than gen 5 off the showroom floor now.
Of course that's a whole nudder story.
Heh,we wouldn't consider you Southern either, anything in the Midwest we call Eastern out here,in fact about anything East of the Cascades lol.
