Oh,a few ponnies, maybe a little reliability because of the damn temperamental optispark dizzy on the LT1 but overall not a lot if you get one for a lot less money and in nice shape.
I love my '93 and it was cheap compared to '98+ LS1 car.
You'll also lose the body styling that most of us don't like as well as the '93-'97 cars lol.

You may have missed that episode? Last week, sebi was wanting to look at a real nice 98 that he found on craigslist. The mileage, if I recall correctly, was in the 80k range. Asking price was $5,500, which means getting it for 5k or less. The car was only 10-15 minutes away from me (a lot closer than where sebi lives), and I've been pulling his leg about stealing the deal from under him ever since he posted about the car.

I can neither confirm nor deny that claim!

look my advice is you can find a NICE third gen v8 for about 2k to 3k of course it wont have the power but thats what the extra money left over is for check out my car, i could have bought a 1998 fourth gen v6 for 800 with a blown motor look for a deal like that cause you can find a good donor motor tranny ect for about 2500 or 3k so id look into that too
