I used to live in NY and got pulled over for the same thing 3 years ago adn it would have cost me almost $150 for both tickets....thank God I knew someone to help get the tickets dropped. I had 5% on the side windows.

I don't get the tint tickets.....it is just a revenue maker for the damn government. I don't buy the stupid protect teh cop BS...if I want to shoot a friggin cop i'll shoot him with or without the damn tint......

I dont kno what the deal is in Washington, but I see some cars with it in the windshield. I think as long as its in the rear and visable then its chill. Kuz i kno u dont need front plate tabs so why even have a front plate.

 

No front plate and really dark tint? Don't drive it in Texas

 

Yeah... i went to a privately owned dealership which looked to specialize in performance cars... all the way from WRXs to Shelby-GT500s and Z06s... Anyway, I found a 94 Z28 with no front plates and THE darkest tint... I asked the salesman if it was legal tint and he said.. just barely if it is at all... I was like wow thanks lol.

Here in NC, the state troopers are notorious for ANYTHING. If they see it, you get a ticket. Luckily, front plates are not mandated by the state.

I think you are not understanding that the laws vary from state to state. The brakets mean nothing. If the law requires a front plate then you have to have it. Before you complain about things like this at least try to know what you are talking about. I live in Texas and I know the law in Texas and a front plate IS required. In other states it may not be. If you have Texas plates in Texas you better have one on the front and your tint better not be illegal. Either comply with the law or lobby to have it changed.
