Default Newbie Needing to see the light

Hi everybody I just got my very first Camaro umm about 4 hours ago . Its a silver 97 with the 3800 . I know not gonna be blazing fast but thats good I been donating way too much to the state recently. The car before the Camaro was a 3rd gen Trans Am local law enforcement lets say they really like it. My question about the Camaro is I am not sure the lowbeams/DLR are working I mean I can see some with the driving lights in the center of the nose but not alot. The HB's work great but shouldnt I have lows as well besides the ones in the center of the bumper?

yes u should have lights besides the driving lights on dim. try checking for juice at the light wire or putting in a new light and see if thats it.

I also noticed today that the drivers side turn signal / directional is out. I checked the bulbs front and back both are good . The turn signal will work as long as I operate the switch by hand . The passengers side works fine .
The the daytime lights come on except for the lows . I was told that the dimmer switch could be bad causing the lows not to work and the turn signal being unable to blink on its own . Does this sound right??

if its not the low beam bulbs then it could very well be the dimmer switch. check the wireing as best u can up by the bulbs.

if the turn signals aren't working you probably have a bad flasher.

see thats the thing the passengers side does work , the drivers dont and no low beams. I checked the back on the drivers it was good , the front I hope is the cause of it all , I just have not had a dry day to get under it to check.

update ...... I finally had a dry day the drivers side drl's were blown both front and back , changed those and the bulbs in the rear were good but changed them anyway , I also changed the front turn bulb it now lights up and will ocassionally blink. I still have no low beams .This has me thinking that either the wires are loose or that dimmer/ blinker is going out.

well it looks like craby is the man here. It turns out that not one but both low beams were out . The bulbs themselves didnt look bad but neither worked so after almost $60 worth of lights and torx wrench I have seen the light!!
