Thanks,

I know Brian, you just showed up within the last couple of days, so that's why it's nothing official. We're happy to have you here, just keep things friendly and family oriented and you'll fit in just fine!
too many times people build up their bottom end too much and don't have enough money left for the bottom end.
brian...are you talking lt1 or sbc? cause they are two different animals. and i've seen plenty of sbc's and lt1's get well over 500bhp...so i don't know where you're getting your information from. the block itself will handle it just fine, the internals are what will slow you down. get an eagle forged 3.75 crank, scat 6" rods, forged pistons of your choosing, and some good rod bolts and theres no reason you can't push your car to over 500Bhp...keep in mind, we aren't talking rwhp here because you brought up bhp.
now...the cubic inches is NOT where the power is made. the top is where the power comes through, the bottom just supports it. there are stock internals with an advanced induction or lloyd elliott top end making well into the 400rwhp. so again, i'm not sure where you're getting your information from
