New exhaust on and now so is SES light. Connection?
Hey all,
So I just had a full exhaust put into the Trans Am.
Kooks Headers 1 7/8" primaries (Stainless Steel)
Kooks catted true dual exhaust system (Stainless Steel)
I also installed an SLP Lid and K&N filter.
I didn't drive much after all was installed so on the third day the service engine light came on.
Code P1153.
This is a link with some info: OBDII Code P1153 CHEVROLET - HO2S Insufficient Switching Bank 2 Sensor 1 | Engine-Codes.com
Would this be corrected with a tune b/c now way too much air is passing for stock computer settings?
Also is it bad/harmful to my Trans Am to drive her like this?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bandit

JGuy, thanks for chiming in.
I've been doin some Internet searching and see that with older O2's they do foul out. I haven't checked to see if the wires were too close but the guy that did my exhaust is really good and I'm sure he checked for clearence but I will be looking into the wires and getting new 02's to start.
I read on LS1 tech that some guys after header install buy corvette rear O2's to install in the headers b/c they switch faster.
Has anybody ever heard this before or done it?
