New to boards '95 Camaro couple of issues
Hey all, I'm new here and this is my first post but I haven't found anything definitive yet as to what might be going on with my '95 Camaro.
Ok so this has all happened in the past couple of days:
1.) It's raining outside and my belt starts squealing (not odd to me because I had a Rodeo that did the same in the rain or cold) now that it's dry I hear an occasional squeak. I'm going to check the belt here in a bit to make sure the tensioner cannot be pressed down by hand and inspect the belt, but any other ideas?
2.) Now that it's dry I've noticed that sometimes when I accelerate I get an occasional vibration in the rear (feels like passenger side) it usually stops when I let off the gas but every now and then it comes back. Brake fluid is fine, could it be the bearings or sticky brakes? Is there a way I can go under there and check myself and know for sure what I'm looking at/ for?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It can be tuff to track down belt squeaks but if it is coming from the alternator its not from the pullet its from the front bearing. The fix is replace the alternator. Tensioners are pretty common.
You vibration could be a bad u-joint or the carrier bearing. Depending on how well you are decribing it it could also be a failing transmission mount.

No the carrier bearing is in the center of the driveshaft. Wheel bearing carry the weight of the car and would be less effected by acceleration and more effected by turns. A bad right rear bearing would make noise on a left turn.
You need to get under the and grab the drive shaft on both side of the bearing and check it for play.

ok to pinpoint the issue with the rear vibration bc that is my major concern. Could it be Runout? I only feel it at like 40mph or less and after having the tires rotated and balanced today (free deal at Discount tire for me), the vibrations still occur. should I still check the driveshaft Gorn? and where? I know that's a bad pic but I'm at work and I was trying my best to figure it before tomorrow morning. Cheap/ inexpensive way I can check for Runout if it is?
For your vibration in the rear, first check to see that you have all five lugs. Second, double check that they can be tightened down and that the studs aren't bad. Mine has one bad stud so the nut doesn't tighten down making the wheel shake a little anytime I'm above 15mph and on the gas.
I realize that you just had your tires rotated and balanced...but believe me there are mechanics out there that won't mention you have a bad stud because 1) They don't really care cause they get your money anyways or 2) They're dumb and just use a air impact wrench to tighten them down when really they should be torqued down to spec.
