Default Neutral Safety Switch for Remote Start

Hey guys,

Just bought a remote start for my 98 LS 6spd.

I'm not worried about starting it in gear by accident as I always leave it in neutral, but for peace of mind I'd love to wire it into the Nautral Safety Switch if my car has one.

I was reading standard transmissions with cruise control will have the N.S.S, so I'm wondering if I can tap my remote start into it?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I always park sticks in gear, even if the parking brake is set. The neutral safety in our cars require the clutch pedal to be depressed before starting, even if the shifter is in neutral.
