Default need help with water leaking on floor

Ok guys I need some help here. I searched for this problem on here, but didn't really find my problem. I've had my 97 Camaro for about 9 months now. The previous owner (original owner) kept the car garaged, so this problem wouldn't have shown up for him. Heres the deal. When it rains hard, my drivers side floorboard gets soaked. Now first, I know its not the t-tops, as I sealed them up when I first saw this problem months ago. I've used a hose, and I honestly cant tell for sure where the water comes in at. I did notice a couple of weeks ago, when I was driving in the rain, that some water was leaking in around the front of the door it seems, like where the side view mirror is. But Im not sure if its the door weatherstripping or what. Today I rigged something up, since I knew it would be raining tonight. I put a length of 5/8" rope behind the door weatherstripping, to make it stick out more and seal to the door better. It is raining, and I'll check tomorrow to see if that stopped it. So have any of you guys had this problem, and is it usually just the door weatherstripping worn out from use? Any ideas would be appreciated, Im tired of having to use a towel to soak up the water on the floor after every hard rain. Thanks guys!

If the weatherstrippin os good, there isa possibility that the drain slots at the bottom of the door are clogged with gunk, and then the water that normally goes inside the door is not draining out, and overflow on the floor.
