RE: Mustang vs. Camaro Race $10,000
if u can lose the 10g'sand not care about it then do it of course, now the funny part that i am ashamed of is i bought a mustang this summer for a drag car. ( i know guys dont worry im a die hard chevy guy lookin to put a chevy motor in the ford) how ever i got a good deal on it. my Z will kill this stang messing around on the highway etc... but from a dead stop 1/4 race my stang will eat my camaro hands down with out my bottle. so i would be carefull with it. word to the wise dont mess around with older guys in nice cars they got more money to spend.

well even if like you say my car has 285hp. i thought the new horsepower ratings were rated at the rear wheels not the motor. and i dont see how an air coil would decrease any power when its reducing the turbulence of the air.

It's because of the fact that the fins are blocking air flow to some degree. If those things actually worked you would see them everywhere, since they are so cheap. If it was some kind of secret, I could understand thinking it might help.

stan (i know i know... not ur name....) I know it was cut and paste, i wasnt criticizing u.
but to the OP, the coil is crap because it doesnt do what it promises. the way an engine sucks in air is fine. the best flow would be if the motor was positioned at 90 degrees and the intake manifold was open directly forward. these fins do not increase atomization as they say, they just cause the air to go in a circle as opposed to going straight, thus slowing it down. dyno tests have proven that they actually reduce power. its like the ebay resistor chips, people can sell them if they act like they know what they are talking about. take that "coil" off ur car. its making u slower. stick around here and learn what will acutally make u fast
