After a little research, I've pretty much come to the conclusion that the whining noise my car makes is because of a bad power steering pump. But I just wanted to confirm this.

this is what happens....

Whenever the car is on there's a whining noise coming from what i think is a bad steering pump. The noise gets louder when i turn the wheel, most notably when the car is stopped. the sound also increases with rpm's.


So am I right? do i need a new steering pump? Or something else?
