LT1 cam and LS1 cam interchangable?

RE: LT1 cam and LS1 cam interchangable?
No, the LS1 is a completely different block from the LT1, theoretically any cam from a traditional chevy small block will drop into an LT1, but you don't really want to do that because you'll be lacking certain stuff that you need for your optispark distributor. Treat the LSX series as a completely different motor, because they are.

Sure thing, and MustangForums has a couple more members than we do, so stuff goes a bit quicker. As far as the bump, it wouldn't bother me so much if you would have let it sit at least a day, I just thought that bumping it after it had been on the forum for 16 minutes was a little bit hasty

RE: LT1 cam and LS1 cam interchangable?
So, the reason why I'm asking this question is that I have a bad lifter, (intake) and I was selling the car, (93 Z28) but no one wants to give me what its worth so I'm going to end up fixing it, and Just incase the cam was shot I was going to switch it out. One more thing, I'm going to drain the oil to check for metal frags, but is there any other way to check the cam to make sure its not damaged without taking it all the way out?
thanks!
thanks!
