LQ9 drivetrain questions

I just wanted to say hello to everyone here on the forum and ask a few questions. I have an 06 Corvette (LS2 with bolt ons) I enjoy running it at the track, but really don't like the independant rear suspension and trying to hook up. I will be buying a 4th gen Camaro to make into a 10 second car for the track, but still be able to run A/C and drive on the street. I have an opportunity to buy a LQ9 drivetrain out of a 2003 2 wheel drive Chevy pickup. I want to build it to a 408 and smack it with some nitrous. I will also be getting the transmission with it. I believe it is a 4L80E which I think is a stronger trans than the 4L65E, which I believe is in a Z28. I want to run a trans brake, and maybe even run high 9's. As I am new to this forum and new to 4th gen Camaros, I was hoping if anyone out there can give me some advice as to if this trans will work and or any suggestions before I start. Thanks!!

Thank you Basic Concepts! I plan on boring and stroking this motor to make a 408 cubic inch. I will be running an LS2/LS6 or a Fast intake so it will fit as the truck intake will not. I was hoping that some one out there may have installed a 4l80e in a Camaro. I believe Z28's come with a 4l60 or 4l65e, and I was wondering if it would just bolt in or if there are any issues that come up by making the change.
