Default Low Fuel Pressure

I have been having a missfire under WOT and a flutter at low RPM when cruising. Ok so I hooked up my fuel pressure tester and it only read like mid to low 30s while idle and barely went up when I disconnected the vaccuum line to the fuel regulator. So I reconnected that and reved it up. This made the guage go down. Then I took it out for a test drive and when I opened her up it when down to 20 or less. So I had bought a fuel filter awhile back and decided to hook it up since I had the guage on there already. I relieved the pressure with the guage bleed valve. I figured this would relieve most of the pressure. So I disconnected the rear line to the filter first and gas shot out like crazy. I was ready for some but I didn't plan on that much, but I got lucky and none got on me. I thought maybe the reason for all of the pressure was because of a bad filter or thats just the way it is idk. After the new filter was on the guage still read about the same and miss was still there. It may have ran a bit better but idk because it sometimes does that. I am pretty sure this means a new fuel pump but could it still be the regulator?? Also, what pump do you guys perfer? Thanks[/align]

Default RE: Low Fuel Pressure

Lets put it this way, the regulator is much cheaper and easier to change. Personally, I would try a new regulator, before dealing with the pump.
