Default Loud popping from I believe the frost passenger wheel

So as the title states, I am hearing a loud pop from the passenger side on the frost wheels. I had it checked at 2 places. The first said the bearings had to be replaced, the second said nothing was wrong. But last I checked it should not be popping. I put grease in the grease things ( sorry don't know the term) The boot on the passenger side is pushing grease out the top, but I am not sure if that would be the cause of the noise. Anyways, any opin ions help. thanks again guys

sounds like broken bearing or bad ball joints, grease coming out of the boot means it previously has been overgreased or just wore out but grease is supposed to stay in there. New ball joints would prob be the best bet.. but i'm not sure

are you mechanically inclined?

You may want to try shaking down the front end. If you jack up the car (ALWAYS USE JACKSTANDS) grab the tire and 12 and 6pm (think of the tire as a clock) and pull out towards you and push in towards the car. There should be minimal movement. If there is excessive movement, you might have a ball joint going bad. Now, grab the tire at 3pm and 9pm. Again pull it towards you and push it towards the car a few times, there will be a little play here, which is normal. Anything excessive generally means you have a bad wheel bearing.

pull the tire off and shake the rotor that way you can see if anything is moving
does it only pop when you turn??? if so in any particular direction???
do you hear any vibrations???
usually if it a wheel bearing it will vibrate at certain directions of the steering wheel and not others also every wheel bearing ive ever felt you can feel it really good in the gas peddle

could also be upper strut/shock mount. I had one go bad and it would make a pretty loud thud everytime i hit a decent bump.

Sure sounds like you may have a disconnected shock from the upper mount... Been there too...

If it is, replace shocks in pairs.

thanks for the help guys. Ill be putting it up on jackstands hopefully tomorrow. The problem with the popping is it comes and goes. Which makes no sense to me. Ill snap a few pictures of the grease boot and everything when I put it up though. But again, I truley appreciate the advice
