Hey all, Just wanted to let you know I found a great solution! I was shopping around using the dimensions i needed instead of by application and found a company called www.liftsupportsdepot.com and they directed me to one of their products that is made for a 2004 buick Ranier back glass. Its the same dimensions as the camaros but half the strength so two of them work ABSOLUTLY PERFECT for fiberglass hoods. Normally the buick ranier has 8mm ball sockets at the ends and the camaro has 10mm sockets but liftsupportsdepot.com makes a strut with heavier 10mm ends. The part number you're looking for is 10730m10 and like i said they work perfect! AND THE PRICE IS LIKE $23.00 EACH so they are not any more expensive than stock replacement camaro struts.

Here is a link to the page where you can buy them from:
Lift Supports

Here is the tech specs from the struts:

Drawing Ext. Length (inches) 21.9
Comp. Length (inches) 14.39
Rod End FittingBall Socket (Anodized Steel)=10mm=3/8"=.39"
Tube End FittingBall Socket (Anodized Steel)=10mm=3/8"=.39"

Force (lbs) 34 (half if what a stock camaro is but just right to hold up a fiberglass hood)
Nitrogen Force151N

Hope this helps somone down the road. Thanks again guys!

Check with Lift Supports Systems | Hood | Window | Trunk | Hatch | Auto Parts By Lou

There are dozens of combinations of struts, with different ends & pound ratings avail on the site. Prices were good, and shipping was quick.

I've had several experiences with Lou, and each time I was satisfied.
