Default Looking at 02 Camaro, few questions....

I am looking at a V6 Camaro and thinking about making the purchase. How reliable are these vehicles? The specific car I am looking at has 50k miles. Is there anything specific I should look at? Finally, what type of fuel mileage does the V6 get and does it take 86 octane?

I run regular unleaded in mine and get about 25 mpg and yes this engine is very reliable... 50K miles on an02 is pretty good, what is the asking price?

They are asking 8k, is that a decent price? If I purchased this it would become my daily driver. How do these cars handle those duties in the North East?

I'd say 7k would be a GOOD price. 8k is not bad though. I drive a 98 V6. Its pleasure even though it needs some work.

I put regular in my 2000 3.8, and every now and then will put in mid grade. I get 22 MPG. $8,000 for an 02' with that mileage isn't bad. I got mine for about that with 42,000 miles back in July. What options does it have? I'm assuming it is in good condition for that much, but still it is good to check for any new leaks in the engine bay and undercarriage, shift through the gears to make sure it shifts smoothly, and check door jambs for even spacing. Another good thing to do is to run a CarFax report on it.
