Alright so today my car (93 lt1 6spd.) has just started acting up. It seems to have late throttle response at high rpm. For example I left a stop light at a normal acceleration pace I hit third then decided I wanted to just punch it for no apparent reason so I dropped it down a gear and the rpms shot up to like 3k and thats when I nearly floored it. It started totake off like always but suddenly it stopped accelerating as though I took my foot off the pedal completly for 1.5 sec then it just picked right back up. It wasn't a bog because the rpms didn't go down really. I don't know if it's the fuel pump going bad or what. Any ideas?

 

Is that the only time it does that? To me it sounds like maybe the clutch slipped.

 

So far yes that is the only time it happens. The only reason I would rule out it not being the clutch is because the clutch seems rather firm idk though.
