Question L36 vs LS1 Camaro Engine Weight?

As the subject says, anyone know the difference in L36 vs LS1 Camaro Engine Weight?

I am considering putting SS front springs on my '02 RS, which reportedly already had the same rear springs as the V8 from the factory (later model V6s only).

L36s reportedly weight in around 440lbs

Ls1s I have seen tend to be between 380-430lbs depending on accesories, intake setups and whether they had oil in them

I can not find it but there was a link with all the weights of all the options on the Camaro. It included engine and transmissions. Camaro 69 where is that bag of tricks

If accurate, that's pretty interesting. Seems like no reason not to put the better springs on the V6... I don't want to do any lowering, just better handling at OEM ride height.

If I remember correctly, the SS springs are variable rate too, whereas the V6 springs are not. So they might have a smoother ride over mild bumps but tighten up real nice in the curves.
