Default Engine weight

Hey guys fairly new here. Joined few years back and just haven't been active ont
The car for awhile. I putnqa1 coil overs with big block spring rait for my 396. I'm considering a new ls3 which is over 200 pounds lighter. What's the effect the heavier spring rate is going to have? I have hotchkis upper and lower control arms withn2" drop spindles too if that matters. Thanks. Garry

The effect will be the car will sit higher, and have a firmer ride after you do the swap. If the QA1's are adjustable you can take some of that out with adjustment on the coils, but you may end up swapping springs if it's to firm a ride.
