hi i just bought a 95 z28 that has a knock under the hood me and my dad went over the car but dont think its a motor knock can you guys think of anything else it might be? Also the car runs very hot i have yet to hear the fans go on

 

can u make a recording of it? whats the oil pressure? how does the oil look? where does the sound come from under the hood? hows the coolant look? what color and level. check fuses and fan relay. how many miles on the car? weres the pictures at? welcome to the forum. do a intro on the new members section.

A couple other things to check... loose torque converter to flexplate bolts, or a loose crankshaft balancer. Those don't happen very often, but....

 

nevermind we ripped the motor out and it turned out it was a piston knock thanks though ill put better descriptions on my next posts
