i have an aftermarket ATV keyless unlock/alarm system for my car. when i unlock it with the fob, it only unlocks the drivers side door. when i bought it, they both worked, but the passenger side worked about 75% of the time. now it seems like the unlock latch thing on the door gets stuck half way, but where it is still locked. what can i do to make it work again? thanks

 

Have you had the door panel off for any reason? The slide lock has a rod that runs back to the lock mechanism. I believe it has a clip mounted on the door behind the panel. If that rod gets bent or is in a bind behind there, it will cause it not to pop the lock, even makes opening the door with a key much harder.

 

my drivers door lock was sticking and i took the door panel off and put some litheum grease on the rod. free it up.
