Was just wondering if anyone else has this problem. The remote unlock and lock will lock/unlock only every once in a while. I either have to stand and hit the button for a mintue, or lock the doors from the inside. Do I need a new remote(I think its the factory one), or is there some sensor thats malfunctioning?

 

Check your battery. Low voltage can cause this.

 

That would make sense, as the battery is decently old and needing replaced. What voltage should the battery have off?

 

Had a similar problem with mine. New battery in the key fob didn't help. Took the fob apart and found a ton of grime built up on the contacts over the years. Cleaned with a little alcohol on a rag and it has worked like new ever sense.
